Sometimes, I have a problem with the way mainstream media reports on events. For example, the Honolulu Advertiser reports that a construction accident victim of 6/2/08 is Gregory K. Wong, 50, of Wai’anae. They tell you he got hit in the head with a crane but don’t tell you if he had family or children that he was supporting. Are we reporting news? No. This happened yesterday. Is this an obituary. No. Generally, an obit is a little more respectful. So, what is this except newsworty sensationalism? Need more? http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080603/BREAKING01/80603020/-1/BREAKINGNEWSFRONT. So, do I.
